Welcome to CleanDroid ("we," "our," or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. CleanDroid is designed to operate entirely on your device.

• Local App Data: We save your cleaning streak data locally on your device using Android Secure Storage (DataStore). This data never leaves your phone and is not accessible to us.
• Media Files: When you scan for files, the App reads file names, sizes, and paths to display them to you. We do not copy, upload, or transmit your actual photos, videos, or audio files to any server.

2. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Specifically:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. Google AdMob may collect certain device information (such as Advertising ID, IP address, and device model) to serve personalized ads. For more information on how Google uses your data, please visit Google's Privacy Policy.

Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID) or by visiting Google Ads Settings.

3. Permissions We Request

To function properly, the App requests the following permissions:

• Media Access (Photos/Videos/Audio): Required to scan for duplicate, large, or old files so you can choose to delete them.
• Notifications: Required to send you optional weekly storage status alerts.
• Ignore Battery Optimizations: Requested so background weekly scans work reliably without being killed by the Android system.

4. Data Deletion

Since we do not store your data on our servers, you can delete all App-related data at any time by simply uninstalling the App from your device. To manage AdMob data, please use the Google Ads Settings link above.

5. Children's Privacy

CleanDroid is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
